Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in East Hartford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) is undertaking construction of new sidewalks and other street improvements along certain sections of Silver Lane in East Hartford. CRDA intends to enter into a contract with a qualified contractor to provide construction services for this project. The Silver Lane Sidewalk Construction Project - Phase 1 includes the construction of approximately 1,500 linear feet of bituminous sidewalk along Silver Lane between Gold Street and Simmons Road. In addition to the sidewalk construction, the project includes the construction of a bridge to carry the sidewalk over the Willow Brook, streetscape furniture and new bus shelter amongst other items. All technical and bid questions must be in writing and emailed to Kim Hart at the following email address: khart@crdact.net. No questions shall be accepted after 3:00 on October 19, 2021. Bidders are advised that a good faith effort is required for participation in this project by State Certified Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and Minority Business Enterprises (MBE). The SBE goal is twenty-five (25) percent of the contract value, with twenty-five (25) percent of that amount (6.25 percent of the overall project) as the MBE goal. CRDA reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities or technical defects, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of CRDA.
