The City of Riverdale, through its Public Works Department, is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for construction of the Wilson Road Improvement Project. Designated as a local street per the City of Riverdales Street classification system, Wilson Street is immediately adjacent the City of Riverdales principal sports park. Existing development along the southerly side of Wilson Road consists of the First Baptist Church and a City Park. The northerly side of Wilson Road consists of open land. The construction services are for the fiscal year 2023. The City envisions a new landscape for Wilson Road as an avenue to connect the park to the Police/Fire Station and Riverdale City Hall. Work shall be done per the construction drawings and documents prepared by Robert and Company. The Project consists of, but is not limited to, the widening of Wilson Road for approximately 700 linear feet (l.f.). Although the existing width along Powers Street varies, most of the roadway consists of two 10 lanes with minimal portions of curb & gutter (C&G). The design calls for widening the roadway to two 14 lanes (plus the addition of 24 C&G), and the addition of 5-wide ADA-compliant sidewalks. The sidewalks and C&G are to be installed only on the south side of the street. Additionally, a retaining wall of will be constructed per the construction drawings along a portion of the south side right-of-way. Question Deadline 11/08/2022
