FM 270 Bike Lanes/Side Paths will run along both sides of FM 270 from the 5 Corners Intersection to SH 96. The Bike Lanes will be on the shoulders where they exist today where there are no shoulders there are plans to have an 8 wide Side Path /Trail on each side of the road. The shoulders stop roughly at Abilene Street. SH 96 Side Path/Trail will be a part of this project and will connect to the South side of SH 96 and will be 10 wide. The Side Path/Trail will run from the FM 270/SH 96 intersection to SH 146. intersection. Project is currently scheduled to bid October 2022. The City of League City is responsible for a set $489,800. TxDOT will be liable for any project cost over-runs above the set amount. This project is included in city's fy 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program.
