Online Q&A : Yes Q&A Deadline : October 7, 2021 4:00 PM (EDT) The Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) is requesting quotes from qualified vendors for the renovation of restrooms on Level 2 of the Terminal Building at Indianapolis International Airport to include two shower rooms. The project is referenced herein as "IND Fitness Center Showers project." PROJECT OBJECTIVES: Construct new shower rooms as detailed in the contract documents (drawings and specifications). The project includes minor demolition, new walls and doors, new finishes, new plumbing, and minor mechanical and electrical work. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Contractor shall provide all labor and equipment for the Project at the Indianapolis International Airport as indicated in the attached documents. The Base Quote shall consist, of but is not limited to: a. Demolish existing walls, door, toilet partitions, flooring, ceiling, plumbing, and toilet accessories. b. Construct new walls and ceilings. Install new doors, frames and hardware. c. Install new wall and ceiling finishes, new resinous flooring, and room signs. d. Install new shower units and associated plumbing and floor drains. e. Modify existing exhaust system and smoke detectors. f. Modify existing electrical systems and install new lights. 2. All work will be performed as outlined in the documents included with this request. 3. The Contractor may store/stage equipment and materials at a designated staging area approved by the IAA. All equipment and materials must be removed immediately following completion of the work. 4. The work shall be completed during daytime hours on Monday through Friday only unless otherwise approved by the IAA. 5. All work will be inspected for adherence to the plans and specifications by the IAA or its designated representative(s). 6. It is the Contractor's responsibility to field-verify all measurements, locations, areas and existing materials. 7. Contractor's work will be taking place within an active office area. The contractor must contain dust and debris within Contractor's work area, and adjacent active work areas and surfaces shall be free of dust and debris. The contractor shall be responsible to clean adjacent surfaces on a daily basis - or at the end of each workday - to the satisfaction of the owner. 8. Contractor and their employees shall always be easily identifiable and shall have identifying markings on all vehicles. 9. Contractor shall promptly report any damage to Airport real estate, property, or equipment. A report shall consist of verbally informing the IAA or its designated representative the day the damage occurs as well as submitting a written report to the IAA by the close of the next business day after the damage occurred. 10. Contractor will be responsible for any damage resulting from his work or negligence. 11. Contractor shall report any safety issues to the IAA or its designated representative. 12. Contractor shall have a ready means of communication through cell phone while they are operating on-site so their efforts can be redirected as required by the IAA or its designated representative. 13. Contractor will not be required to employ the services of an IAA approved Security Escort or badged employee dedicated to security work for this project. The Owner's overall supplier diversity goal for this project is 28% comprised of 15% MBE, 10% WBE and 3% VBE participation
