The Brandywine School District is seeking professional Architectural and Engineering services. The services being requested are to serve as the District's Architect of Record for a period of five years. Professional services required are to include, but are not limited to: providing architectural and engineering services for all larger scale minor capital improvement projects and ESSER funded project, providing architectural, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and environmental remediation, preparation of plans and specifications, bid documents, estimating, and construction administration, assisting the district in preparing educational specifications, which will provide specific direction regarding educational objectives and facility requirements. These services will also include all professional services required to submit Certificates of Necessity to the Department of Education when required. The design firm(s) must have proven experience in the design of educational facilities; capacity to meet the requirements of the project(s); demonstrated experience in school construction, commercial maintenance facilities; demonstrated experience in working with the Delaware Department of Education; and a demonstrated understanding of Delaware State procurement and school budgeting policies. The Brandywine School District may hire one or more design firms to complete the scope of work. Any questions or inquires regarding this RFQ shall be directed to John Read, in writing. Selection of the Design Firm(s) will be made shortly thereafter. The selected design firm(s) shall provide professional services not limited to: all planning, programming, consulting, architectural, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, plumbing design, structural engineering, environmental, estimating, and documentation preparation necessary for the satisfactory completion of this project. The District anticipates that the selected Architect of Record would be responsible for providing professional services for minor capital improvements projects totaling $1.5 to $2 million in construction cost annually that would be spread among as many as five facilities per year. Over the life of the contract services will be required for all 15 schools and several other various sites. All professional services will be in accordance to the fee schedule recommendations of the Department of Facilities Management. Each individual service will be negotiated and approved by the District prior to any work being performed. There is no guaranteed minimum annual service. Services will be requested by the District on an as needed basis. Services must be in accordance with Federal, State, County and Local requirements. The Consultant must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities. The design firm(s) shall include complete architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical designs services as required for each project. The Architect of Record can use sub consultants for specific disciplines. The Architect of Record will be responsible to manage the efforts of these sub consultants. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
