Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Brampton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for the construction of a 994-square-foot, one-story above grade clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.
The existing Brampton Tennis Club is located at 38 Union Street and is over 40 years old. Significant capital expenditure would be required to bring it up to a state of good repair, and overall the facility is at the end of its life span. The existing tennis clubhouse is to be demolished and a new modular building construction with decking to be erected in a new central location on the site. The facility is in need for major interior and exterior alterations and renovations to meet the City of Brampton Accessibility Standards. A modular building construction is desirable for financial savings should this facility need to be relocated in the future to align with the overall strategic planning of downtown Riverwalk. This procurement is for all demolition of existing building, site services, construction of the new modular building, new viewing deck, relocation of court #4, landscape and pathways around the new building.
