Renovation of a mixed-use development in Harlan, Iowa. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Project put on hold. Last Day for bidding questions is 5:00 PM on October 8, 2021. 21160 Renovation of Cafeteria, relocation of Gift Shop, relocation of office and Mail Room. Cafeteria renovation scope limited to dining and servery. Dining area updates are limited to opening space to corridor to permit use after service hours, updating finishes, and replacing furniture. Servery updates include enlarging space into existing office, adding overhead coiling doors, new serving counters, new serving equipment, new exhaust, and updating fire suppression. Gift Shop will be relocated to Waiting area near main entrance. Existing Gift Shop space will renovated to have new office space and Mail Room The Owner's construction budget for this project is $501,743. Phase 1 work must commence on December 1, 2021. Substantial completion to be reached by June 6, 2022. Final completion by July 1, 2022. Bids will be considered by the Owner at a public meeting to be held at Myrtue Medical Center, Auble Conference Room, 1213 Garfield Ave at 7:30 AM, Central Time, on October 26, 2021 or at such later time and place as may then be fixed. Each Bidder shall accompany the Bid with a Bid security, in a separate envelope, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of the contract corporate surety bond or bonds, acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equivalent to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bidder's security shall be in an amount equivalent to 5% of the bid amount, and shall be in the form of a cashier's or certified check drawn on a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America, or a certified bank share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of America or a bid bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner. The bid security will be held by the Owner until a contract is fully executed and bonds are approved by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Project consists of the interior renovation improvements for the Cafeteria Servery and Dining Area, relocation of the Gift Shop, relocation of the Mail Room and relocation of the Wellness Office.
