Renovation of a municipal facility in Barnesville, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 6,598-square-foot municipal facility.
The Work consists of renovation of a 2,527 square feet facility (2nd floor) and 4,071 square feet (3rd floor) with alternates for renovation of additional spaces including doors and frames, storefront, door hardware, windows & glazing, drywall, flooring, ceiling, painting, and casework, poured concrete foundation walls, floor slabs, wood and metal stud framing. All plumbing, mechanical, and electrical are to be included. Each bid shall contain the full name of each person and company interested therein and shall be accompanied by 1) a bid guaranty and contract bond in the full amount of the bid tendered or 2) a certified check, or cashier's check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid tendered. Either of these shall serve as a guarantee that, if the award is made to the bidder, he will enter into a proper contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price upon execution of the contract. All such bonds, certified checks and cashier's checks shall be made payable to the Owner, OHIO HILLS HEALTH SERVICES. No bid shall be considered unless made on the forms available at the office of the project Architect and in accordance with the Contract Documents which consist of all advertisements, instructions to bidders, specifications and drawings, bid form of contract agreement, bid and performance bond, schedule of wage rates, and all addenda thereto, all of which are available upon request. Should any bid be rejected, the Bid Bond will be returned forthwith to the bidder, and, should any bid be accepted, the Bid Bond will be returned upon proper execution of a contract agreement. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days minimum after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of the bids. Bids are to be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope in the lower left hand corner as follows: "2ND FLOOR RENOVATION - BRADFIELD BUILDING". The OWNER intends to accept the lowest and most responsible bids (bidders) for the project, and reserves the right to reject any and all or parts of any and all bids. The Owner will consider combination bids as part of determining the lowest most responsible bids. Any BIDDER, upon returning the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS promptly and in good condition following the contract award by the Owner, will be refunded $50.00.
