Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Battlefield, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Construction of 8 wide concrete trail, access connections, culverts, and any incidental work related thereto, including park improvements within Trail of Tears park in accordance with the plans and specifications. The project is generally located along the south side of West Elm St. and along the north side of Somerset Dr through Trail of Tears park in the City of Battlefield, Greene County, Missouri. The total length of the improvements is approximately 2,000 feet. All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher. The City of Battlefield hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award. The bidder will insure that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will have the opportunity to participate in the performance of this contract and or any subcontracts. All bidders must be on MoDOTs Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, latest edition, including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file seven (7) days prior to bid opening. Bidders are informed that all contractors are subject to full compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations, and the requirements of the Equal Opportunity Act and it is not the intent of the owner to arbitrarily dismiss any authorities. Each bidder shall file with his bid a bidders bond in the amount of 5 percent of the contract price as indicated per the contract documents. The bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond on the forms provided, payable to the City of Battlefield, and in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price in conformity with the requirements of the General Conditions. Proposals must be on forms provided and all unit price bids, extensions and totals provided thereon shall be completed fully. The Contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder complying with the Conditions of the Contract Documents and within the Owner's budget. The Bidder to whom the awards are made will be notified at the earliest possible date. The Owner, however, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in his interest. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Contractors and subcontractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide proof of participation in a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. No 2nd tier bidding will be allowed on this project.
