As of 01/04/2022 This project has been awarded to Fred Adams Paving Co Inc. in the amount of $49,950.02. Questions concerning the RFP requirements must be submitted in writing. They must be submitted via email to kgshelto@ncsu.edu. Questions must be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. The project shall be complete, successfully inspected and accepted by the University's Project Manager, and invoice submitted NO LATER THAN six (6) weeks from date of award (estimated award date by the end of November). Completion date shall be adjusted for weather delays only with approval by the University's Project Manager. The proposal response must include a timeline demonstrating the proposing Contractor's plans to complete the project within four (4) to six (6) weeks from date of award. The alley is to be retrofitted to include approximately 1534 sq. ft. of permeable interlocking pavers (PIP). Demolition, removal of the current pavement shall be completed by the City of Wilson at the start of construction. Silt fences and filter socks to control sediment erosion will be installed by the City of Wilson, but the contractor will be responsible for repairing or replacing these measures if necessary. The PIP shall be installed at grade spanning the width and length of the alley between 108 Barnes St. W and 136 Tarboro St. W in Wilson, NC 27893 as shown in Figure 1 (next page) and on the attached plan sheet. Efforts should be made for the PIP to complement the adjacent alley featuring a community-driven beautification project as shown in Figure 2 (see next page). Brick or red concrete pavers are preferred.
