Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Chatham, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 21,600-square-foot, three-story above grade, 27-unit multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is inviting proposals for the design and build a new modular 27-unit one bed room three storey public housing apartment building with on grade entrance at 99 McNaughton Ave West, Chatham. Construction is in the front yard of the existing 120-unit structure. The proposed project is to provide housing for 27 tenants with 22 one-bedroom units and 5 fully modified wheelchair accessible one bedroom units. The units should be modest in size to maintain affordability. The maximum and minimum unit sizes by bedroom type are as follows: - one-Bedroom unit maximum 60.4 sq m and minimum 37.0 sq m; - The minimum size requirements do not apply to the fully modified unit. TIMELINE: An RFP for Design Build has been awarded. *The municipality will receive approx. 60 percent of the funding for the proposed 8 million project from senior levels of government.
