Site work for a water / sewer project in Jacksonville, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of 12/08/2021 This project has not been awarded. The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to select a Responsible Bidder to furnish labor, materials, and equipment to complete the rehabilitation of the Southwest-5104 118th St. and 6217 Wilson Blvd.-Class III/IV pump stations. The pump stations were constructed in the early-1970s and 1980s respectively. The majority of the equipment and systems at the facility are the original equipment that has reached or is nearing the end of its useful life. Corrosion is excessive in many areas of the pump station facilities including the influent splitter box, the wet well area, and within the electrical equipment in the motor room; accordingly, structural repairs and equipment replacement are necessary. Improvements are also necessary to replace non-functional or inefficient equipment including influent and wet well flow control, and ventilation. Additional improvements are needed for safety including the installation of guardrails along with the raised loading dock areas. Additional information can be found in Appendix A - Technical Specifications. Those planning to attend the Pre-Bid meeting via Webex or teleconference should email their name and contact information to: krucdr@jea.com, at least 24 hours prior to the Pre-Bid meeting to facilitate roll call. A Bidder shall only sign in representing one company unless otherwise specified by JEA. Companies not attending the Pre-Bid meeting may have their bid rejected and returned unopened. All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount stated on the Bid Form. The bid security must be furnished by the Bidder at or before the opening of Bids. The bid security shall either be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida, or Bidder shall furnish a certified check or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid Amount shown on the Bid Form. The JEA Bid Bond form can be found at jea.com. Failure to furnish the required bid security will disqualify the Bid. If the Bidder is Awarded the Work and fails to execute the contract within ten(10) days of postmarked date on the Contract Documents, JEA shall retain the Bid Bond or check as liquidated damages. The contract issued pursuant to this Solicitation contains liquidated damages tied to project completion deadlines. The Bidder should review the specific time frames and liquidated damage amounts prior to submitting its Bid. Once the Bidder is awarded the Contract and upon receipt of the Contract Documents, the Bidder shall furnish a Payment and Performance Bond, or alternate form of security, in the amount indicated on the Bid Form, made out to JEA in forms and formats approved and provided by JEA, as security for the faithful performance of the Work or Services.No modifications to the JEA bond forms are allowed. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required and cut, remove, repair, or otherwise modify parts of existing concrete structures or appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and as specified herein. Work under this Section shall also include bonding new concrete to existing concrete. Modifications and repairs to concrete shall be in accordance with JEA Water and Wastewater Standards 2021 Section 448.
