The City of Henderson, Nevada, is soliciting Bids from qualified firms to engineer, fabricate and install guardrails and shade structures at the Water Street Plaza, located at 240 S Water Street, Henderson, Nevada. The City of Henderson, Nevada, ("City") is soliciting Bids from qualified firms ("Bidder") to engineer, fabricate and install guardrails and shade structures at the Water Street Plaza, located at 240 S Water Street, Henderson, Nevada. A. Contractor shall perform all Work and provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision necessary to complete this project. The intent is to fabricate and install shade structures similar, but on a smaller scale, to existing structures at the plaza and provide a guard rail between upper and lower plazas adjacent to the stepped seating walls near the Lifeguard Arena wall-mounted LED display. a. Contractor shall engineer, fabricate, and install up to four (4) shade structures per attached Exhibit A, Site Plan, and Exhibit B, Shade Structure Concept. Shade structure locations and dimensions can be found in Exhibit A. b. Contractor shall engineer, fabricate, and install guardrails (location identified in Exhibit A) with a similar aesthetic to Exhibit C, Guard Rail Concept. Railings shall be 36" tall with painted finish to match color of adjacent existing railings in the plaza (paint sample available for color matching). Field verify length and mounting locations for proposed railings. c. Contractor responsible for preparation of building permit documents, applying for permits/barricade plans/SWPPP submittals, and scheduling inspections. d. Geotechnical report dated 6/20/2020 is provided as Exhibit F. The City will obtain update letter for building permit submittals. e. Contractor shall coordinate with scheduled events in the plaza and provide safety barriers around worksites, see Exhibit G, Plaza Events Schedule. f. Contractor shall obtain final design approval from City prior to fabrication and installation. g. City will pay all building permit-related fees. h. City will engage third-party QAA Inspections as required by the building permits.
