General:The Chemung County Buildings & Grounds (CCBG) shop parking are located at 217 Madison Avenue, Elmira, NY 14901 has deteriorated. The adjacent parcel (219 Madison Avenue) was purchased,the structure demolished and a temporary parking area established. The purpose of the project is to restore the area to create an accessible and safe parking area with drive access to the rear of the shop. An internal storm sewer and an extension of the storm sewer on Madison Avenue are included in the base bid of the project.Substantial completion is deemed to be all project work elements except for Item 9-Top Course Paving andItem 16-Final Restoration.The alternate bid includes the installation of concrete bollards and repair of the sidewalk in the road right-of-way.All work depicted on the Project Drawings, including: Existing Conditions Site Plan Grading and Utility PlanCivil Details E&S Plan E&S Details pre-construction meeting between Contractor, Owner and Engineer will be held to determine work schedule, on-site work hours,staging/parking,Owner access during the project and coordination meeting schedule (assume once per week).All work to be covered under a one (1) year warranty starting from the date of Final Completion.
