The Whitfield County Board of Commissioners desires to solicit competitive bids from responsible vendors to provide construction services for the Engineering Department to construct a new parking lot and access road for the Whitfield County Tax Commissioners Office. The Whitfield County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any technicalities or irregularities, and to award the contract based on the highest and best interest of the Board of Commissioners. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary for the complete construction of the new facility as per the scope of services outlined below The Whitfield County Tax Commissioner's Office is looking to better serve the citizens of Whitfield County by increasing the number of parking spaces available to those visiting the facility, by thirty-six (36) spaces. Due to surrounding topography, and limited access, the construction will involve the construction of 122 feet of new road to access the proposed parking area. This road has been designed to conform with the City of Dalton road and street specifications, thus, all construction shall conform with all technical details shown on the complete construction plan set. This project shall not be exempted from the City of Dalton's Stormwater Ordinance. Therefore, the contractor shall be prepared to construct the stormwater pond, and all related drainage structures, as shown on the complete construction plan set.
