As of 11/03/2021 Contract in approval process and no date has been set for the start/end of project. As of 10/26/2021 No start or finish date has been determined. As ofs of 10/07/2021 Estimated cost is less than $200,000 Wesley Park Shelter Building Improvement Project All potential design service providers must submit information on the form provided indicating they have practical experience of the particular design and engineering services required for the project. Potential contractor must have the ability and resources to complete the proposed work in a manner satisfactory to the Owner. A contract award will only be made to an organization meeting the qualifications as stated within the contract specifications. Proposals will be reviewed the week of October 25th by staff and recommended to the City Manager to approve consultant for the design and engineering services for the shelter building at Wesley Park in Golden Valley, MN. Proposal and quote shall be directed to the Parks & Recreation Director, sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, "2021 Proposal & Quote for Wesley Park Shelter Building Improvement Project." The City of Golden Valley reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City of Golden Valley. The City of Golden Valley Parks & Recreation Department seeks a qualified contractor to provide design services for a park shelter building improvements and ADA updates. The park building is located at Wesley Park (8305 Wesley Drive). A. Add operational windows with screens in building common areas. Likely will require relocation/modifications to existing downspouts. B. Add operational window with screen in office area for rink supervision and summer programming, existing corner window to remain as is. C. Remodel bathroom(s) to be ADA compliant. Recommend bathroom flooring option for year-round uses (including winter skating season), cleaning and transition to commercial grade carpeted common area. D. Verify all building entrance doors meet ADA standards for width, weight, handles, etc. May need to consider open support system. E. Improve transition at doorways from outdoors to indoors. F. Replace interior/exterior hollow metal doors and frames as needed. Recommend alternative material options if possible. All doors and frames must be designed to accommodate or be wired for future electronic locks. G. Add glass inserts to new entrance door side lights and add internal sign holder for building Rentals and general information. H. Add ceiling fan in common area for air circulation. I. Add dimmable and motion activated LED internal lighting in common area. J. Add motion activated LED internal lights to office area and bathrooms. K. Add internal outlets in common area and office area for user groups' electronics. L. Replace internal drinking fountain with ADA fountain & bottle filler. Coordinate design with the following work by others: A. Replace office and common area rubber flooring with commercial grade carpet squares. B. Interior painting - new wall paint color. E. Wireless security, electronic door locks and WIFI Cradle.
