Hwy 14 Force Main Replacement The work will consist principally of: 1. 3 EA Construction Exit 2. 2 EA Inlet Sediment Trap 3. 5256 LF Type A Silt Fence 4. 1100 LF 20-Inch High-Density Polyethylene DR 11 Force Main 5. 4736 LF 20-Inch HighDensity Polyethylene DR 17 Force Main 6. 1 EA Connect to Existing Force Main 7. 1 EA 4-Foot Diameter Doghouse Manhole 8. 4 EA 3-Inch Combination Air Valve with Manhole 9. 1 EA Demolish and Abandon Existing Air Valve Manhole 10. 8 EA Cap Existing 16-Inch Force Main 11. 7 CY Flowable Fill 12. 63 SY Asphalt Pavement Removal and Replacement 13. 5836 LF of Clean-up and Testing 14. Soil and Concrete Testing Allowance 15. Construction Verification Surveying Allowance Bidding documents are open to public inspection, free of charge, in the Bailey-Alexander Water and Sewer Complex, 1501 West Samford Avenue, Auburn, AL or at Engineer's office, Barge Design Solutions, Inc., 1201 Front Avenue Suite F, Columbus, GA 31901. Please contact Morgan Bell at (334) 707-2337 for any further information on obtaining the plans. Guarantee will be required with each bid in the amount of at least five percent (not to exceed $10,000) of the amount bid in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Auburn, Alabama. All bidders are required to be compliant with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, Act No. 2011-535 (Code of Alabama (1975) 31-13-9) as amended May 16, 2012 regarding employment practices. Documentation of enrollment in E-Verify should be included with the bid and will be required as a condition for the award of any contract. Your attention in particular is invited to the "Instructions to Bidders", which is to be followed in all respects. The City of Auburn reserves the right to select the lowest responsible bidder as is in the best interest of the City of Auburn, to award the purchase contract from any of the bids, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in bids received. Bids will be good for sixty (60) days after being opened by the City.
