One Hundred Thirty Five (135) calendar days are allowed for the construction of the project. All bids must be on blank forms provided in the specifications and submitted in its entirety. A cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a bidder's bond, payable to Mobile County, Alabama, for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, but in no event more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00), shall be filed with the bid, as a bid guaranty. The new pocket beach will be established by placement of up to 25,000 CY of sand obtained from a commercial source. Although the specifications forthis sand stipulate that it must contain no more than 1% fines, silt curtain may be installed to preclude release offine sediments that exist within the placement area.
