BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF ALL EXTERIOR SEALANTS INCLUDING
CONTROL AND EXPANSION JOINTS, WALL PENETRATIONS, SOFFIT JOINTS,
WINDOW AND DOOR FRAME PERIMETERS, AND OTHER JOINTS BETWEEN
DISSIMILAR MATERIALS
- REPAIR AND FILLING OF ALL CRACKS AND VOIDS IN EXTERIOR MASONRY
AND STUCCO WALLS
- CLEAN ALL ORGANIC MATERIAL AND EFFLORESCENCE FROM
EXTERIOR WALLS.
- REPAIR OF EXISTING GYPSUM BOARD SOFFITS AND ANY WATER
DAMAGED FRAMING ABOVE.
- EXCAVATION DOWN TO TOP OF FOOTINGS AND INSTALLATION OF
BELOW GRADE WATERPROOFING AT STEM WALLS
- APPLICATION OF CLEAR WATER REPELLANT COATING ON ALL
INTEGRAL COLOR MASONRY WALLS
- APPLICATION OF ELASTOMERIC PAINT ON ALL EXTERIOR STUCCO
WALLS AND SOFFITS
- APPLICATION OF SEMI-GLOSS PAINT AT ALL EXTERIOR DOORS, FRAMES,
WINDOW FRAMES, STEEL COLUMNS, AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS METALS.
- REPLACE ALL DAMAGED EXTERIOR DOOR GASKETING AND
SILL SWEEPS.
- REPLACE EXISTING PLEXIGLASS WINDOW PANES WITH NEW INSULATED
GLASS PANELS AT MULTIPLE DOOR AND WINDOW LOCATIONS
AS INDICATED ON THE PLANS. The purpose of this Bid is to contract with a qualified Firm/Contractor to Weatherize Mesquite Elementary
School to prevent further interior and exterior damage to the building. This project's scope of work involves,
but is not limited to, the following:
A. Removal and replacement of all exterior sealants at control joints, expansion joints, joints at building
perimeter, and joints between dissimilar materials, such as hollow metal door and window frames to
block.
B. Repairs of cracks, holes and voids in existing exterior concrete masonry unit, brick, and stucco walls.
C. Application of below grade waterproofing and above grade clear water repellant coating on all exterior
building walls, including the inside face of parapets above roofs.
D. Removal and replacement of select areas of exterior gypsum board soffits.
E. Painting of exterior metals, including doors and frames, window frames, and downspouts.
F. Minor grading work at building perimeter to improve from of water away from buildings.
G. Installation of grouted riprap at downspout outlet(s).
H. Removal of existing plexiglass window panes and replacement with new insulated glass units.
