Demolition, site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Castlegar, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a multi-residential development; for site work for a multi-residential development; and for the demolition of a multi-residential development.
Design, construction, and property management services for an affordable housing project in downtown Castlegar. The City is developing the housing in conjunction with community partners and the Kootenay Gallery of Art. Two conceptual designs have been developed. The conceptual design for the project includes two options that will require further investigation once a successful proponent has been identified. One concept (2B) would require coordinating funding and construction of the two building components, while the other (2C) would allow construction of each component independently. Concept 2B comprises 48 units, while 2C is for 33 units. The proposed development will take place on City owned property located at 310 Columbia Avenue and 1224 3rd Street. The project aims to contribute to and initiate the revitalization of the downtown core while integrating affordable housing in alignment with the Citys recently adopted Downtown Area Plan and Housing Strategy. TIMELINE Project is pending budget approvals. Demolition work is underway. Timelines for invited RFP is undetermined. Further update in early 2026, upon approvals.
