Questions on the project will be accepted until 12:00 P.M. (Noon) Thursday, October 28th. All prime contractors, subcontractors, utilities, small, minority or women business enterprises, and other interested parties are invited to attend. The Project, which is funded locally, will be constructed in one (1) contract division. In general, the work consists of providing all labor and material for the construction of 1605 linear feet of perforated HDPE underdrain pipe, 5 storm inlet structures, swale construction, removal of trees, and removal and disposal of 3 existing clay tiles within the Ivy Hills subdivision Copies of any and all addenda which may be issued for this project shall be included with the purchased documents and shall be forwarded to all plan and specifications holders of record. Expedited shipping of documents can be arranged at time of purchase. Documents may be examined at the office of the Howard County Surveyor, 220 N. Main Street, Room 332, Kokomo, IN 46901, and at Beam, Longest & Neff, LLC at 8320 Craig Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46250. Bids must be submitted on the forms found in the Bid Documents and shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount bid with satisfactory corporate surety or by a certified check on a solvent bank. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Bid. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his Bid within 30 days after the Bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in whole or in part as specified in the solicitation when it is not in the best interest of the governmental body as determined by the purchasing agency in accordance with IC 5-22-18-2. The Owner also reserves the right to waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid, which is deemed most favorable to the Owner.
