he scope of this work includes: the renovation of existing single-gender, community style bathrooms into private use bathrooms in this existing 38,232 square foot residence hall built in 1962. The scope of work described and detailed includes: demolition of interior construction, new interior construction and finishes, select concrete structural work required to support he new construction and equipment, plumbing demolition and new work for the project, mechanical demolition and new work for the project. The work required will be performed under the following separate prime contracts and anticipated budgets: Contract 100: Construction contract - $952,769 Contract 200: Plumbing contract - $725,000 Contract 300: Mechanical contract - $250,000 Contract 400: Electrical contract - $250,000 The campus will allow a 3.5% field order allowance, therefore, the following will be included in each bid and accounted for in the bid tabulation: Construction: $33,346, Plumbing: $25,375, Mechanical: $8,750 and Plumbing: $8,750. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Milestone # 4: Gypsum wall board complete: July 15, 2022 Substantial Completion: August 5, 2022 A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond, both of which bonds shall be on the form prescribed by the University and in an amount not less than 100 percent of the total amount of the Contract awarded.
