The Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) will receive sealed bids for its Garden City Terminal West Phase 2 Project No. 1910-1012 located in Garden City, Georgia. The project will construct approximately 78 acres of container storage yard with an in/out gate complex and approximate 1 mile long on-terminal access roadway connecting the yard with Garden City Terminal. Project work will construct yard pavements and roadways, medium voltage distribution for electric-RTG cranes, site electrical and lighting distribution systems; IT and security connectivity and systems; site civil drainage, water and sewer systems; gates systems and infrastructure; building, canopies and booths; and associated fencing, barrier, striping and signage work. Preparation of the site includes demolition of existing facilities, clearing of undeveloped land, closing and elimination of ponds, site regrading with ground improvements and import fill, and erosion control. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security equal to 10 percent of the bid sum. If a construction contract is awarded, the successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each equal in amount to the contract sum.
