The work consists of the demolition, removal, and replacement of existing 36" RCP culverts under South Magnolia Street, with new duel 48" RCP culverts and precast concrete headwalls. Bids will be received on a unit price or lump sum basis as described in the Contract Documents. The work is to commence within 15 days afterthe Date of Contract. Completion of the work is asrequired in the contract documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the total Bid must accompany each Bid. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of 60 days after the date fixed for opening Bids. The Owner reserves the right to select alternatives, to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional Bids.
