Project is approximately 7,000 SF, mixed-use building including a full functioning distillery and collegiate support spaces. Primary structure is steel framing and soil-bearing footings. Exterior assemblies include continuous insulation, anchored stone veneer, metal panel, storefront, curtain-wall, and coated foam roofing, and other work indicated in the Contract Documents. Maturation Building:
The new facility will complement the Still Building and provide an area for the sprits to age and for research. It will consist of approximately 1,000-1,500 square feet of space with limited HVAC requirements. It will be sited and coordinated with the Still Building. Written Questions Due:
10-21-21 The time for substantial completion for all phases shall be Three Hundred One (301) consecutive calendar days and Final Completion shall be Thirty (30) consecutive calendar days thereafter. Substantial Completion will include all site restoration completed, site cleanup and fully functional. Anyone wishing to discuss specific items is requested to submit the items in writing to Capital Construction Procurement, no later than 10/21/2021 at 1:00 PM Lexington, KY Time. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instruction to Bidders, General Conditions and Special Conditions. The University of Kentucky, Construction Procurement Section, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the University may be served.
