Bids will not be accepted after the specified time. The scope of work for this project consists of the demolition of KK Industries building and restoration of the site. Accordingly, the Town of Hammonton will award the project to the qualified Bidder who submits the lowest responsible bid price for the total project construction. Each Bid must state the name and address of person, firm and corporation interested in the same as a principal. Bids must be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope, addressed to the Town Clerk, Town of Hammonton, 100 Central Avenue, Hammonton, NJ 08037 and identified as "Bid Demolition of KK Industries Site." Specifications provide for receipt of Bids by mail. Those Bids which are mailed to the contracting unit shall be sealed, properly marked and shall only be opened for examination at such time and place as all Bids received are unsealed and announced. The Mayor, Town Council and its Solicitor (hereinafter referred to as Owner) will be the sole discretionary body for consideration or rejection of the Bids. Bids must be on the official Bid Form which can be obtained from the Engineer, at the offices of ARH Associates, Inc., 215 Bellevue Avenue, Hammonton, NJ 08037. The Engineer will furnish the Bidder with a copy of the specifications upon receipt of payment (for the cost of the specification preparation). 3. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS: Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of Bids or any authorized postponement thereof. Bids received after time and date designated shall not be considered. No Bidder may withdrawal a Bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. AFFIRMATIVE ACTION REGULATIONS: Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127 (NJAC 17:27). 5. CONTRACT COMPLETION: Construction shall commence at the project site within fourteen (14) calendar days after the date to be specified in the written 'Notice to Proceed' by the Engineer and shall be completed within 45 calendar days from the date the written 'Notice to Proceed' is given, unless otherwise agreed to. 6. PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS: The provisions of the Department of Labor's current wage rate determinations and the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act are requirements of this project. NON-COLLUSION AFFIDAVIT: Bidders must file a non collusion affidavit. 8. AFFIRMATIVE ACTION REGULATIONS: Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. 9. ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION: Bidders must comply with the provi-sions of P.L. 1997, c. 371 (NJSA 40A:11-50) et seq. 10. ADDENDA: The bid shall contain an acknowledgement of receipt of all addenda which shall be completed on the form provided within the bid documents. 11. CHALLENGE TO SPECIFICATIONS: All challenges to bid specifications are to be presented within three (3) business days prior to the bid opening and must be in writing. Challenges to the bid specifications filed after the bid opening shall have no effect on bid awards. 12. PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION ACT: The provisions of the New Jersey Public Works Contractor Registration Act are requirements of this project. 13. BUSINESS REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE: The provisions of the New Jersey Business Registration Requirements shall be adhered to on this project. 14. PROJECT FUNDING: This project is funded by the Town of Hammonton.
