The scope includes the upgrade of the Mill Creek Intake to increase the capacity of the flow into the culvert and eventually into Mission Creek. Analysis has shown that the optimum solution is: i) increasing the wall's height, ii) widening the pond, iii) upgrading the grizzly rack, iv) introducing two new gates and v) removing some parts of the existing trash rack support wall. The overall list of items includes, but not limited to, the following: Concrete cutting of existing structure Rebar sampling for strength test Remove existing grizzly and associated miscellaneous steel Excavate and prepare subgrade and backfill as required (for wall construction, pond upgrades, grizzly, ramp) Supply and install backfill for -20% slope access ramp Form, rebar and pour concrete for -20% slope access ramp, grizzly rack and its walkway Construct and remove Stage 1 and Stage 2 temporary diversion Tree removal and replacement plan (compensation planting) in accordance with bylaw 8042 and CEMP (in Appendix E). Supply and install riprap downstream of the intake for erosion protection Form, rebar and pour concrete to raise the existing diversion structure and walls Form, rebar and pour concrete to build new walls on the north side of the structure Form, rebar and pour concrete to build any buttress walls, foundations, slabs and columns shown on the drawings Supply and install grizzly rack with all its miscellaneous steel Supply and install all the miscellaneous steel for the handrails, fence, swing gates, supports (cameras and others), etc. Supply and install backfill for the +12% slope access ramp Supply and install gates and actuators Supply and install control room Supply and install TuffBoom Installation of City supplied Trash Rack and Trash Rake Novation Agreement to be discussed with the awarded proponent.
