Description: The Township of Winslow is seeking sealed proposals for General Plumbing Work for the Township of Winslow General Services. The Township may perform such investigation it deems necessary to determine a potential contractors qualifications and ability to perform the services under this Request for Proposal. This contract shall be awarded based on price and other factors including experience and response time. Work covered by this contract shall include commercial general repairs and installations at various locations owned by the Township on an as need basis. Excluded from this contract shall be industrial electric work, such as large motors and pumps and controls for same. Each vendor shall provide on the proposal form, the labor rate they will charge the Township per hour for work performed. If more than one class of worker could be used on any Township project, then the vendor shall provide labor rates for these additional titles in the space provided on the proposal form. In addition, each vendor shall state the minimum number of each worker class listed that will make up one "crew". A crew shall consist of at least one person. Quoted rates shall remain firm for the entire term of the contract. Overtime rates may be charged at 1 1/2 times the quoted rate for work performed after 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and for Saturday. Double-time rates will be allowed for work done on Sunday. All overtime work shall be on an emergent need basis and require Township approval. Each vendor shall also provide a percentage markup above cost to be charged to the Township for supplies used while performing work under this quote. The Township, at its option, may provide supplies requested by the contractor Proposals shall be awarded based on lowest "Total Amount of Quote". Estimated time and materials are neither promised nor guaranteed and the Township reserves the right to increase or decrease these quantities to meet its needs, to award separate contracts for similar work and to have work performed by other vendors should the low quote fail to respond in a timely manner. All work shall be authorized on an as needed basis. If bidder is a corporation or partnership, there must accompany its bid, a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders in the corporation or partnership who own ten (10%) percent, or more of its stock, of any class, or of all individual partners in the partnership who own a ten (10%) percent or greater interest therein. If one or more stockholders or partnership, the stockholders holding ten (10%) percent or more of that corporation's stock, or the individual partner owning ten (10%) percent, or greater interest in that partnership, must be set forth as aforesaid.
