Sunrise Highway Streetscape Improvements The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals received and subject to these reservations, shall award the contract to the lowest qualified and responsible bidder. Bids, which, in the opinion of the Board, are unbalanced, shall be rejected. Pursuant to the provisions ofChapter 605 ofthe laws of 1959, as amended, ifany person when called to testify before a grandjury concerning any transaction or contract with the State ofNew York, or a political subdivision thereof, or a public authority, or a public department, agency or official ofany ofthe foregoing, refuses to sign a waiver of immunity against subsequent criminal prosecution or to answer any relevant questions concerning such transaction or contract, then, any such person, or any firm, partnership or corporation ofwhich he is a member, partner, director or officershall be disqualified for a period offive (5) years after such refusal from submitting bids to, receiving awards, or entering into any contract with any municipal corporation or department or agency or official thereof. Ifsuch person refused to sign a waiver of immunity or to answer any relevant question as aforesaid, then this contract may be canceled or terminated by the INC.
