Any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation will be in effect from date of award until the completion of the project. All potential Offerors are to read, understand and accept the requirements of this Request for
Proposals (RFP), especially the mandatory requirements.This is a qualifications-based selection with cost as a consideration. The Offeror is required to provide, as part of the Technical Proposal, the qualifications and other documents requested in this RFP. The Price Proposal will be evaluated separately from the Technical Proposal. The award of a contract for construction shall take into consideration certain contractor qualification and performance factors that add value to a procurement contract. Factors such as contractor past performance, technical expertise and experience, management capabilities and resources, subcontractor teams and craft personnel resources, will form the basis for the criteria to be considered, in addition to lump sum price to perform the scope of work. Award shall be made in accordance with the terms conditions, and requirements stated herein. Rio Rancho Public Schools (RRPS) was founded in 1994 and is the third largest district in New Mexico. The district enrolls more than 17,000 students and employs approximately 2,600 staff members. RRPS's 20 schools include a preschool, 11 elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, an alternative high school, and a grade 6-12 virtual academy. The district opened its new preschool campus and a newly-constructed elementary school this year (2020). In the past 26 years, RRPS with voter support has built 14 complete campuses -- a preschool, eight elementary schools, three middle schools, and two 2,300-student high schools - along with a transportation center, district warehouse, and district training facility. It has completed major classroom and other additions to many of its campuses and has acquired three existing buildings to house schools and programs.
