The Work generally described is: asbestos abatement, demolition/removal of the 1,934 square foot residential structure, 416 square foot detached garage, 1,768 square foot implement building, 64 square foot tool shed, rubbish/trash, asphalt drive/parking removal, final grading seeding/sodding. All inquiries about the Invitation to Bid may be made by calling Luke Kreimer, Project Engineering Technician II of Water District No. 1 of Johnson County, at telephone number (816) 719-4383. No bids shall be accepted from Bidders who do not visit the Work Site with the OWNER, prior to submitting a Bid, to take measurements and ask questions. Bids will be received on a Lump Sum Price basis as described in the Bidding Documents. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond (EJCDC Penal Sum Form) of 5% of the amount of the Bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Public Works Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the rights to reject any or all erroneous, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, and to reject the Bid of any Bidder or all Bids if OWNER believes that it would not be in the best interest of OWNER to make an award to that Bidder. June 30, 2022 Final Completion CONTRACTOR shall furnish Performance and Public Works Bonds, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all CONTRACTORs obligations under the Contract Documents.
