Renovation of a water / sewer project in Minot, North Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

As of January 6 2021 there is no award yet. In accordance with the North Dakota Century Code Chapter 48, the project shall be comprised of multiple Bids. There are six (6) Contracts: Contract No. 1 - General Construction; Contract No. 2 - Mechanical Construction; Contract No. 3 - Electrical Construction; Contract No. 4 - 10.5 MG Reservoir Construction. Contract No. 5 - Combined General, Mechanical, Electrical, and Reservoir Construction which includes all Work for Contracts 1, 2, 3, and 4; Contract No. 6 - Combined General, Mechanical, and Electrical Construction, which includes all Work for Contracts 1, 2, and 3; The Contract(s) shall be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder(s). The sum of Contracts 1, 2, 3,4 will be compared with the total for Contract 5 and with the sum of Contracts 4 and 6, to determine the lowest bid(s). Either Contracts 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be awarded, Contracts 4 and 6 will be awarded, or Contract 5 will be awarded. The General Construction Contractor from Contract 1 will assume responsibility for coordinating the work of the prime contractors responsible for other contracts awarded. The scope of Work for each Contract generally consists of the following: CONTRACT NO.1 - GENERAL CONSTRUCTION Construction work includes but is not limited to: Site stripping; construction of a new 63-ft X 23-ft (approximate) steel reinforced concrete Hydraulic Control Structure; construction of a new 67-ft X 56-ft (approximate) steel reinforced concrete, and precast concrete building for flow control (Flow Control Structure) that includes a loading area/garage, pipe gallery; miscellaneous metalwork, doors, windows, flooring, and coatings; and other miscellaneous Work. Site piping in sizes ranging from 6-inch to 36-inch, site grading work outside of the reservoir limits, site paving and surfacing, landscaping, and other miscellaneous Work. Also includes conveyance of water for testing of the Site Piping and the Hydraulic Control Structure. CONTRACT NO.2 - MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION Construction work includes but is not limited to: Construction of new process piping in sizes ranging from 1-inch to 30-inch, valves, actuators, meters, supports, mechanical coatings, sump pumps, plumbing, ventilation and propane heating; and other miscellaneous Work. Also includes conveyance of water for testing of the process piping. CONTRACT NO.3 - ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION Construction work includes but is not limited to: Construction of new PLC/PC based process control systems, sensors and instrumentation, control consoles, buried cable, general building and process control electrical Work; a propane generator; and other miscellaneous Work. CONTRACT NO.4 - 10.5 MG WIRE-WOUND RESERVOIR CONSTRUCTION Construction work includes: Construction of new 10.5 MG Wire-Wound, AWWA D110, Type III Reservoir, excavation and backfill for construction of reservoir, interior and overflow piping within reservoir, metalwork, hatches, coatings; and other miscellaneous Work. Responsibilities also include construction of the primary access road into the Reservoir/Flow Control Structure site, and conveyance of water to fill the Reservoir and approximately 15 miles of 36-inch pipe. CONTRACT NO.5 - COMBINED GENERAL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL & RESERVOIR CONSTRUCTION Construction work includes: All work associated with Contracts 1, 2, 3, 4 combined. CONTRACT NO.6 - COMBINED GENERAL, MECHANICAL, & ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION Construction work includes: All work associated with Contracts 1, 2, and 3 combined. The Contractor will not perform work or permit the performance of Work by subcontractors outside regular dusk to dawn working hours or on Saturdays, Sundays, or legal State holidays without providing written notice of proposed work to the Engineer a minimum of 5 days in advance and contingent on the Owner's written consent. Invites shall be sent to the sending email address of the request. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Prospective prime Bidders are required to attend and participate in the conference. Attendance will be taken only once by the Engineer at the beginning of the meeting. All prime bidders listed on the attendance sheet will be eligible to bid the project. Bidders that are not listed on the attendance sheet shall not be eligible to bid the project as prime Bidders.
