Ancient Oaks Preserve Wet Pond It is St. Lucie Countys intent to award a construction contract to one qualified bidder to perform construction-related services for a Stormwater Treatment Area at Weldon B, Lewis Park/Ancient Oaks Preserve. The successful contractor will be expected to provide and install proposed structures and landscaping in accordance with the plan set labeled Design Plans for Ancient Oaks Preserve. All Bidders shall provide proof that they are State Certified or State Registered, and a State Registered License shall be based on the possession of a St. Lucie County Certificate of Competency. Specialty contractors shall be required to provide proof of having obtained a St. Lucie County Certificate of Competency. Possession of either a State Certification or County Competency card must accompany the bid. It is the responsibility of the bidder to confirm that they have all the proper licenses to perform the work. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities; reject any and all bids/proposals which are incomplete, conditional, obscure, or which contain additions not allowed for; accept or reject any proposal in whole or in part with or without cause; and accept the proposal which best serves the County. If St. Lucie County accepts an offer, the Bidder promises to deliver all required documentation, including applicable licenses, insurance documents, and documentation satisfying applicable bonding requirements. Project Questions In addition to the mandatory pre-bid conference referenced above where Bidders will have an opportunity to pose questions, Bidders may submit questions via email to Desiree Cimino at ciminod@stlucieco.org no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 26, 2024. St. Lucie County will endeavor to respond to all questions received before the aforementioned deadline to submit questions, but the County is not obligated to respond to every question received. All Bidders are required to submit a five percent (5%) Bid Bond with the Bid Form, or their bid shall be rejected as non-responsive. A one hundred percent (100%) Public Construction Bond for both payment and performance is required upon notification of St. Lucie Countys intention to award the contract to the apparent successful bidder.
