Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.
As of October 3, 2023, per owner, this RFP was canceled, there are no construction projects generated from this RFP. Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency (MRA), on behalf of the City of Albuquerque, is inviting proposals for multifamily housing in the Downtown and Railroad Metropolitan Redevelopment Areas The proposer must have site control in the form of a deed, long-term lease (at least 50 years), or an exclusive option to purchase/lease that expires, if not exercised, no sooner than nine months after the due date of this RFP. II.REDEVELOPMENT: The City seeks to increase the number of housing units in the Subject Area, as more specifically outlined in the MRA's Request for Proposals (RFP). The City encourages proposals that repurpose existing buildings, such as office or hotel uses. III.FINANCING & GRANT AVAILABILITY: The City has up to $2.2M in gap funding available through the Department of Treasury's American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The purpose of this grant serves two purposes: 1) to offset the cost of new and redevelopment caused by supply chain and labor shortages created by global effects of COVID-19, and 2) to create more housing supply Downtown. MRA may award multiple projects. IV.SELECTION CRITERIA: The Evaluation Criteria, as more specifically outlined in the MRA's RFP, include: Consistency with the City's Project Goals and Community Benefits Team Experience Design Financial Structure Financial Capacity Development Timeline V.SELECTION PROCESS As more specifically outlined in the RFP, Developer selection is a multi-step process, including: 1.Project submittal and qualification. 2.Selection by the Albuquerque Development Commission. If the Albuquerque Development Commission does not have a quorum due to recusals for the selection of this RFP, or for any other reason is unable to reach a majority decision, the MRA Manager shall make the final decision. 3.Contract negotiations with selected developer. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
