**As of January 14, 2022 the project has not been awarded yet.** This project is to include building modifications and the installation of escalators and elevators at Cruise Terminal 1 and Shearn Moody Plaza Garage, for the Port of Galveston, Galveston, Texas (hereinafter called Owner). The port will accept questions about this RFB and about any matter related to the scope of work through 2:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021. Attendance is not mandatory, but highly encouraged. Attendees are REQUIRED to provide their own PPE for the site visit including steel toed shoes, safety vest, and hard hat. TWIC cards are recommended. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes upon the blank form of proposal furnished. Sealed envelopes shall be marked in the lower left hand corner. Do Not Open in Mail Room Submitted in Response to Request for Bids (RFB) 2021-013 Cruise Terminal 1 Walkway Circulation Improvements To be Opened and Read Aloud in Public at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 10th, 2021" Address envelopes as follows: Board of Trustees of the Galveston Wharves Attention: Procurement Manager 123 25th Street, 8th Floor Galveston, Texas 77550 The Board of Trustees of the Galveston Wharves will award this bid to the bidder who provides the requested goods or services at the best value for the Port, which will include an analysis of the following criteria: purchase price, reputation of the bidder and of the bidder's goods or services, the quality of the bidder's goods or services, the extent to which the goods or services meet the Port's needs, the bidder's past relationship with the Port, the impact on the ability of the Port to comply with laws and rules relating to historically underutilized businesses and non-profit organizations employing persons with disabilities, and the total long term cost to the Port to acquire the bidder's goods or services. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids, in whole or in part, and to accept the bid or bids, in whole or in part, for any reason or to negotiate with any and all bidders and waive any informality in bids received. Bidder(s) may withdraw their bid, either personally or by written request, at any time prior to the scheduled time for the bid opening. The Galveston Wharves may hold the bids for 60 days after the date set for the opening without making a decision and the bidder(s) may not withdraw their bid(s) within that time.
