Site work and renovation of a civil project in Waynesville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Project No: 19.00330 The project generally consists of improvements to the Waynesville Wastewater Treatment Plant, including demolition of the existing screen and grit removal system, a new headworks (parshall flume, mechanical influent screens, and grit removal), a primary disc filter system, a new influent pump station, aeration basin improvements, diffuser replacement, installation of new blowers, demolition of the existing primary clarifiers and primary sludge pump station, construction of two new secondary clarifiers, conversion of the intermediate pump station to a new return activated sludge and wastewater activated sludge pump station, conversion of the gas chemical system to a liquid chemical system, installation of a new reuse pump station, replacement of thickening mechanisms of two gravity thickeners, replacement of the existing 1.5-meter belt filter press to a new 2-meter belt filter press, rehabilitation of the existing lime pasteurization system, and all valves, piping, electrical, controls, instrumentation and related appurtenances. Bidders and other interested parties should note that prequalification of equipment manufacturers by the Engineer prior to the bid opening is required for this project. Each bid shall be accompanied with a cash deposit or certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the FDIC or a Bid Bond prepared on the form of Bid Bond contained in the Bidding Documents or a Surety Company's standard form and properly executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds. The amount of the bid bond shall be equal to five (5) percent of the total of the bid. The bid deposit shall be retained by the Owner if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract or fails to provide the required bonds, as stated above, within ten (10) days after the proper notice of award of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities, or to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. The Owner reserves the right to award a contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder or bidders, taking into consideration quality, performance and time. Contractors submitting a Bid on this project must solicit bids from minority subcontractors and provide documentation of any outreach efforts as required by the Special Conditions Packages. $15 - $18 Million *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. EPA MBE/WBE participation goals: MBE 10.9% WBE 10.4% State of NC MBE/WBE participation goal: 10% (combined) The deadline for prequalification submittals is 5:00 pm local time on November 23rd, 2021. The deadline for questions to be submitted is 2:00 pm local time on November 29th, 2021.
