Work of the Project includes construction of a new dog park on three vacant, undeveloped parcels (APN:162-042-10-101, 102, 103) at the NEC of S. Rancho Drive and W. Oakey Boulevard. The three parcels will be combined into one parcel, totaling approximately 1.39 acres, as part of the project scope. The park will include two sections for off leash dog activity; one for smaller dogs, and the other for larger dogs. This will include agility equipment in each section, dog water fountain, bottle filler station, monument sign, park signs, an area provided for a dog statue (by artist, installed by artist), an entry vestibule area and fence/gates. There will also be a parking area with maintenance truck turnaround, site lighting, trash receptacles, dog waste bag dispensers, shade structures, benches, tables, landscaping, real turf, and irrigation. The statue is the responsibility of the artist, but a specified area for said statue is to be in the entry area and within this scope of work. B. Coordinate with the Rancho Drive Complete Streets - Sahara to Mesquite (MWA458) project, to address utilities and portions of Right of Way that overlap and must be addressed by both projects. C. Perform Work of Contract under lump sum contract with Owner in accordance with Conditions of Contract. We understand that the project will include design and construction of new dog park fields and shade structures on a site that is approximately 1.39 acres in size. Other planned amenities at the park will include concrete walkways, a seating plaza, screen walls, metal fencing, a park monument sign, light poles, and asphalt-paved parking lot. It is also our understanding that concrete sidewalks will be constructed along the adjacent right-of-ways (ROW) of Rancho Drive and Oakey Boulevard. We have assumed that the proposed shade structures will be founded on either conventional spread foundations or drilled pier foundations that are less than 18 feet deep. We also understand the structures will be designed in accordance with the 2021 International Building Code (IBC) and the City of Las Vegas & City of Henderson Amendments to the 2021 IBC.
