Demolition, site work and new construction of a residential development in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for the construction of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified "B" General Building contractors qualified to perform the demolition of the existing single family home at 7684 Sweetbrier Way and the new construction of a single family home at the same location. The Contractors will provide construction services on the building as shown in the attached Bid Documents, as required to deliver it to a state of readiness for sale. The scope of improvements will include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Demolition and haul away of the existing structure. Electric and gas services to the house have been disconnected. 2. Tree removal and trimming as per project drawings. 3. Lot clearing and grading. 4. Concrete footings and stem walls for raised foundation. 5. Floor, wall, and truss roof framing. 6. Composition shingles; 7. Gutters and downspouts; 8. Drywall at all walls and ceilings, taped and textured; 9. Insulation at all conditioned spaces (walls and attic); 10. Exterior wall sheathing, vapor barrier, and stucco or lap siding where shown; 11. Installation of windows with new vinyl frame dual pane windows; 12. Painting of the entire interior and exterior of the houses; 13. Installation of water heater; 14. Installation of all interior and exterior doors and frames, including new hardware; 15. Installation of new overhead sectional vehicle garage door; 16. Drought tolerant front yard landscaping and installation of new drip irrigation system; 17. Perimeter fencing replacement with new redwood fencing and gates. 18. Installation of kitchen cabinetry, countertops, sink, and plumbing systems; 19. Installation of kitchen range with new over the range microwave oven vented to exterior; 20. Installation of water closets and plumbing; 21. Installation of vanity cabinets, countertops, sinks, faucets, and plumbing; 22. Medicine cabinets, towel bars, and tissue holders; 23. Installation of tubs/showers and surrounds, shower doors and plumbing systems; 24. Installation of all electrical wiring with a new main panel; 25. Wiring for new cable TV and telephone (home runs to central location); 26. Installation of all plumbing systems, including main water service and sewer lines. Plumb interior of house; 27. Carpeting and wall base at living room, halls, bedrooms and other rooms as designated; 28. New resilient flooring and wall base at kitchens, bathrooms and other rooms as designated; 29. Installation of new central HVAC systems and ducting; 30. Installation of a photovoltaic solar panel system; 31. Installation of a whole house fire sprinkler system; 32. Other items as required and shown on plans. Liquidated Damages $100.00 per calendar day Estimated Bid Value $575,000 to $625,000 Project Duration 180 days Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 11/05/2021 10:00 PM (PDT) This contract is subject to Federal labor standards, California Labor Code including but not limited to Sections 1771, 1774, 1775, 1776, 1777.5, 1813 and 1815, compliance monitoring and enforcement by SHRA and the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), affirmative action requirements, Section 3 Requirements of the HUD Act of 1968, the Davis-Bacon Act, and Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise standards. For bids in excess of $25,000, bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 5% of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of not less than 100% of the contract price. Pursuant to the California Public Contract Code Section 22300 the Contractor may request that the Agency substitute a security in the amount of the performance retention. This is a Public Works project. Per California State Labor Code Section 1771.1 (a), a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. Notwithstanding any other requirements (including federal labor requirements), this contract is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
