Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in San Marcos, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a 137,000-square-foot, eight-story above grade, 550-bed educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
As of March 13, 2023, a design builder has been confirmed. A ground-breaking for the facility is tentatively scheduled for February 2024. See also: RFQ Contractor - Dining and Affordable Student Housing - Prequal Package 1 Trades This is a Design Build project that will provide necessary affordable housing for CSUSM students and increase first year residency (550 beds). It will also address the need for a dining commons to service the campus. The housing building have varying floor heights with no more than 8 stories. This project is a public works project. The project will provide an approximately 137,000 total GSF (127,000 for housing and 10,000 for dining) to be placed in the current the University Village Apartment (UVA parking lot).
