Site work for a water / sewer project in Sun City, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Maricopa County is soliciting bids from firms to provide construction services to the County for Sun City Drains Improvement, Grand Ave, Del Webb to Agua Fria, located at unincorporated Maricopa County, Arizona. The project will extend the existing twin fifty-four inch (54") system at 111th Avenue upstream toward Del Webb Boulevard, replacing the existing forty-eight inch pipes. The new drainage system also extends the fifty-four inch (54") system downstream toward the Agua Fria River. Grate inlets will be installed to intercept surface runoff which used to surface flow onto the previous trapezoidal channel. Principal construction features for the project include clearing and grubbing, excavation of existing channel, grade, install and backfill the piping and grate inlet in ground, and some minor grading at the project site to promote positive drainage. All work on this contract is to be completed within 270 CALENDAR DAYS beginning with the date specified in the Notice to Proceed, beyond which time liquidated damages may be enforced.
