WBE Participation Goal 4.3% Any questions about bidding conditions must be addressed to the Owner in writing no later than October 30, 2021. Work includes replacement of the filter media in-kind; surface preparation, repairs, and coating of the filter vessel shell, heads, underdrain plate, cell divider, and coated internals; rehabilitation of the underdrain system, air scour grid, and vessel connections; and cleaning, disinfection, and recertification in all five horizontal pressure filter vessels at North Water Treatment Plant in South Bend. Bid Alternates include replacement of raw water piping from the header to filter vessels 3, 4, and 5, and media replacement of the filter sand filter media with preconditioned silica sand in lieu of GreensandPlus. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept a full or partial award of the bid or bids which, in its judgment, will be to the best interests of the City of South Bend.
