Estimated Construction Cost: $750,000 to $2,000,000 Water main improvements at two campus locations, noted as Ridgewalk Water and Hopkins Lane Water improvements. The Ridgewalk Water improvements consist of transferring various water connections from a campus pressure system to another campus water pressure system. The Hopkins Lane Water improvements consist of installation of new water main along Hopkins Lane. The University seeks Contractors with demonstrated experience in water utility construction within an highly trafficked pedestrian corridor and active streets. Specific experience requirements include: installation of 1" through 12" water main piping and associated water appurtenances. Anticipated construction duration of 6 months. The Contractor shall have demonstrated an average annual business revenue of at least $2,000,000 over the last five (5) consecutive years. The Contractor must have demonstrated experience on their best three (3) comparable projects with the Contractor providing services as General Contractor within the last ten (10) years. Projects should have possessed the following construction challenges: urban site with limited construction and staging areas; pipeline installations requiring proactive and innovative solutions; project complexity requiring tracking of multiple construction phases; critical path construction, phasing plan development, and execution.
