Renovation of a fire / police facility in Seaside, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
This project includes upgrades to the Seaside Fire Station located at 1635 Broadway Avenue. Upgrades includes the abatement of the exterior paint and texture coating, removal of dry rot and damaged siding, install of new siding, removal of six existing bay doors and associated equipment, install of six new overhead bay doors with associated electrical and plumbing modifications and new paint on exterior of building. California Class B General Building Contractor.The determination of lowest bid shall be based upon: Project will be awarded on base bid plus alternate.No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project or may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)] Owner specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. Owner may reject any and all Bids and waive any minor irregularities in the Bids. REMOVAL AND ABATEMENT OF ALL PAINT AND COATING ON BUILDING EXTERIOR AND SURROUNDING SITE WALLS. REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF WOOD SIDING AND TRIM. 9 TREATMENT FOR TERMITES AS NOTED ON PLANS AND DESCRIBED IN PROVIDED TERMITE REPORT. NEW PAINT ON BUILDING EXTERIOR AND ALL SURROUNDING SITE WALLS. REMOVAL OF SIX BAY DOORS AND INSTALLATION OF SIX NEW BAYS DOORS. ALL ASSOCIATED PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL REQUIRED FOR PROPER INSTALL AND FUNCTION OF NEW BAY DOORS Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work within 45 Working Days from the Commencement Date and 10 Working Days following substantial completion to achieve Final Completion. This project includes work on the building exterior, site walls and replacement of six bay doors. Exterior work includes the abatement of all exterior walls and site walls. The abatement will remove all texture, coating and paint for building exterior and site walls. Work includes removal of damaged siding and trim as noted in plans and termite report. New hardie plank siding and trim will be installed to replace damaged items. New paint will be applied to exterior of building and site walls. Work on the bay doors includes the removal and disposal of the existing bays doors, tracks, motors and associated equipment, modifications to relocate some existing utilities, install of new electrical for new bay doors, install of bay doors and associated equipment and controls
