As of January 25, 2022, the project has been cancelled. It has not been confirmed if the project will go out for rebid. The City of Plano is soliciting for the replacement of approximately 1,700 linear feet of Hike & Bike trail. Project tasks also include the installation of a gabion wall along the edges of an adjacent drainage channel as mitigation against the ongoing erosion and undercutting of the drainage channel.

The amount for liquidated damages is anticipated to be $1,000 for each day work remains incomplete after the time specified Estimated expenditure is $1,283,488. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all sureties, including but not limited to those sureties who are now in default or delinquent on any bonds or who are interested in any litigation against Owner.
