Marion Water Treatment Plant Emergency Upgrades: Awarded to: Goldman Contractors Awarded Amount: $218,910.00 Anticipated Start Date: March 7, 2022, but subject to changed As of January 5 the project is set to be awarded in two weeks. The principal items of work are detailed herein below. Principal Work: 1. Valve and Actuator Removal and Replacement 2. Raw Water Meter Replacement 3. Finish Water Meter Replacement 4. Aerator Blower Replacement 5. Misc. Motor and Valve Retrofits The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond for one hundred (100%) of the bid amount and a Payment Bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount, and must secure his bond from a bonding company's representative or agent in the State of Alabama The Supplier is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 60 consecutive calendar days total and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF THE CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening bids has passed. The Owner reserves the right to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receiving Bids.
