Site work and paving for a civil project in Coppell, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

This work shall consist of removing and delivering existing light poles to the Owner (City, ONCOR, Coserv), removing and disposing of existing light pole foundations, constructing reinforced concrete banner pole drill shaft foundations, installing the single and twin mast arm light poles and banner cable assemblies (including all channels, assembly, wiring, electrical connections, and incidentals), installing street light pullboxes, installing conduit, and planting new grass sod and/or the removal and reconstruction of reinforced concrete median pavement and brick pavers with concrete base in the disturbed areas. Work shall include all components necessary for "turnkey" construction and installation of the banner poles as shown in the plans for the project. NO SALES TAX ON TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY INCORPORATED INTO OR MADE A PART OF THE PROJECT. The bidder shall not include or provide for sales tax on tangible personal property to be incorporated into the project. (Note: This procedure may not be used, however, for materials which do not become a part of the finished product, such as, equipment rental or purchase, form materials, etc.). In order to be exempt from the sales tax on such tangible personal property, the contract shall separate and provide separate charges for materials to be incorporated into the project from charges for labor. The City will provide the Contractor with an exemption certificate for the materials. The contractor is expected to issue a resale certificate in lieu of paying a sales tax at the time of purchase. The bidder shall show the cost of materials (tangible personal property) in the space provided on the bid form. The successful bidder's bid form will be used to develop a separated contract and determine the extent of the tax exemption. Contractor must submit a bid security in the amount of five (5%) percent of the amount of the maximum total bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will promptly enter into a Contract and execute a Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds on the forms included in the Contract Documents if awarded the contract. Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds are required for this project and shall be provided in accordance with the General Conditions.
