Renovation of a fire / police facility in San Gabriel, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The work to be done consists of furnishing all necessary labor, tools, transportation, and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the replacement of the existing central HVAC system with the five new HVAC packaged units and all associated required installations for complete functional systems, which shall include all new electrical conduits, wiring, disconnect switches, insulated flexible ductwork, MERV 13 rating air filters, UV lamps, and new R410a refrigerant for the new systems, etc.. The work also includes patch and repair of any damaged roof and ceiling which have been damaged by the scope of work. All work shown or described in the Contract Documents shall be furnished and installed complete, in-place by the Contractor, and ready for occupancy and use. The contract is to be executed within 7 calendar days after award of contract by City Council. Time for completion of the work is thirty (45) working days for all work from the date of the Notice to Proceed with all related mechanical and electrical installation and construction. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, cash, or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price payable to City of San Gabriel as a guarantee that the awarded bidder will execute the Contract and provide the required bonds, certificates of insurance, and endorsements within 7 calendars days of the of the award of contract by City Council. All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be in writing or email and received no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 and shall be directed to: Project Manager, Alan Mai, at (626) 308-2825 or email: amai@sgch.org. The City reserves the right after opening bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality (non-responsiveness) in a bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, and reject all other bids, as it may best serve the interest of the City. The Bidder shall guarantee the Total Bid Price for a period of 90 calendar days from the date of bid opening.
