Construction of Phase II of the Quaker Multi-Use Trail which will be an approximately 3.6 mile long, 10-foot wide paved trail extending from the Quaker General Store to the Quaker Lake Beach area. The project includes the construction of eight pedestrian bridges and one elevated timber boardwalk to span existing creeks, swales, and wetlands. The bridges vary in length and will be steel truss structures with timber decks and concrete abutments. Associated work includes storm drainage, erosion control, pavement markings, and signage. Pedestrian accommodations will include roadway crosswalks, advance warning signage, and ADA accessibility in the overall design of the project. The Owner is the OPRHP and the work site is located in the City of Salamanca, Cattaraugus County. The projects limits extend from: Quaker General Store to the Quaker Lake Beach. The project estimate including allowance is: $4,600,000 - $6,200,000. All bids are subject to final review and approval by the Attorney General before any award of contract may be made.
