PARKING LOT PAVING Quakertown Borough Notice is hereby given that Borough Council of the Borough of Quakertown Bucks County is seeking sealed bids for equipment and labor to grade and pave the Borough parking lot (a.k.a. Willie's Parking Lot) located behind the Trolley Barn with entrances on East Broad Street and South Hellertown Avenue, otherwise known as Bucks County Tax Map Parcel Number 35-008-340. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall include a bid bond, bank money order, or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount payable to Quakertown Borough; an agreement of surety certifying that the required performance and payment bonds will be provided by the Bidder upon the awarding of the bid; and proof of insurance. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price. Bids should be clearly marked in the lower left hand corner "Willie's Parking Lot Paving Bid", and should be addressed to the Joseph Murgia, 35 North Third Street, Quakertown, PA 18951. Bid Packets are available or questions can be asked by contacting the Borough at the above address or by calling the office of the Borough Director of Public Works at 215-536-5005 All information given at this meeting will be considered part of the Bidding Packet, via addendum, and is to be included in the bids. You must be present at this meeting to submit a bid. The accepted bid will be awarded by Borough Council at a subsequent public council meeting. The Borough of Quakertown reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids, and exercise its judgment as to the comparative merit of the products and services offered. Award of the contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Bids may be held by the Borough for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
