Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Hutchinson, Kansas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
**As of February 1,2022 the project was awarded to Mies Construction Inc in the amount of $465,244.85. The proposed Work provides for the furnishing of all materials, equipment and labor for constructing the 11th Avenue Bridge Replacement over the East Side Drain in the City of Hutchinson, Kansas, and consists of the following estimated quantities for sample units of work: Concrete (Grade 4.0) - 114.5 CY Concrete (Grade 4.0)(AE) - 64.7 CY Reinforcing Steel (Gr. 60) - 2,630 LBS Reinforcing Steel (Gr. 60)(Epoxy Coated) - 35,610 LBS Bridge Backwall Protection System - 264 SY HMA Base (BM-2) - 104 Tons HMA Surface (SR12.5A) - 35 Tons Unclassified Excavation - 1,081 CY Other Work includes removal of existing structures, granular backfill, foundation stabilization, embankment, saw cutting, curb and gutter, storm sewer pipe, erosion control, and traffic control.
